Another Top Private Equity Firm Implements InvestorFlow™ Qualified Matching Service
New York City, N.Y. (September 16, 2009) – InvestorFlow™ (“InvestorFlow”), a leading provider of SaaS front-office applications for the investment management industry, today announced at the PEA Conference that another top 50 private equity firm is using InvestorFlow QMS as its captive qualified matching service for secondary sales.
The private equity firm, which has raised more than $20 billion in equity capital and invested in hundreds of businesses, started using the InvestorFlow QMS service to manage the complex workflow necessary for GPs to manage a secondary transaction. This is the second implementation of InvestorFlow QMS, which is now the captive QMS for two of the private equity industry’s largest firms, who have combined assets of over $80 billion under management.

The software-as-a-service (SaaS) application allows general partners to screen potential buyers, and then matches qualified buyers and sellers in a neutral environment that adheres to IRS regulations. InvestorFlow QMS allows general partners more strategic flexibility if secondary sales breach 2 percent of the fund’s commitments. By using the service, private equity firms can increase the transfer of limited partner interests an additional 8 percent without being taxed as a publicly-traded partnership.
